Future Melbourne

Future Melbourne

Future Melbourne is a process for learning from the past and looking to the future to build a shared vision for the city.

Through Future Melbourne, the City of Melbourne and its partners (including you) will develop a plan to help us achieve our shared vision.

Everyone is invited to add to the conversation and debate, and join in activities to generate ideas and actions for Melbourne.

With your contributions we'll produce strategies that guide the city's development during the next decade and beyond. Find out more at the Future Melbourne Information centre.

Future Melbourne will explore all dimensions of urban life, including social, cultural, economic and environmental dimensions.

Through an intensive program of discussion, debate, consultation and analysis, Melbourne's community will contribute to the development of:

- a vision for the city in 2020 and beyond;
- the objectives and actions we must achieve to realise this vision.

Future Melbourne is led by the City of Melbourne and the University of Melbourne, with contributions from our project partners, including: the Australian Conservation Foundation; the Committee for Melbourne; the Property Council of Australia (VIC); and the Victorian Council for Social Service.

A Future Melbourne Reference Group, made up of prominent Melburnians, will act as a sounding board for our ideas as we go.
