Gallery 15 |
Gallery 15, in the foyer of the 15W, is a unique public art space dedicated to 'causal art'. For the last year Gallery 15 has hosted the Art for a Cause program, which brings us a new exhibition every month in support of selected charities from all over the world. Spend a minute or an hour taking in the view of the world as seen by a five year old boy from Aceh or a twenty year old mother of four from Tanzania; a Victorian primary school student or a well known media personality. Bound by no subject matter or medium, only by one common element in each exhibition - to inform and educate its audience about current global challenges we face today.
Art for a cause works with charities and independent artists/activists to source artwork from all walks of life, and all corners of the world.
Upcoming exhibitions include:
September 2006 - Trailwalker Exhibition (Oxfam)
October 2006 - World Children's Week Exhibition - (Plan)
November 2006 - World Aids Week Exhibition (Oxfam)
December 2006 - Cambodian Street Kids Centre
January 2007 - John G Foundation Exhibition
February 2007 - Oxfam INGO Photographic Exhibition
March 2007 - TBC
April 2007 - Private Exhibition
