Yum yum yum is the delicious Yum Cha served in a typically noisy dining room.

It's fabulous yum cha, but book, book, book! On Sundays there's always a queue and bookings get in first. Come to think of it, someone always gets in before us, its very pushy, but once seated things get better.

Typical frenetic pace sees carts of yum cha going by thick and fast. Personally I can never understand the explanations of what they have, but asking to see the food and asking whats in that answers the question.

The food is excellent and worth the wait. The restaurant always seems full, regardless there is always a wide variety of dishes. Sometimes you have to wait for your favourites, plus you can ask if a particular dish is coming, and its amazing how quick it arrives soon thereafter.

If you don't like 'loud' dining rooms, give it a miss, or ask to be seated upstairs (3rd floor).

If you haven't been before, Gold Leaf may be hard to find. Find the arcade (between High St and rear car park), walk through the arcade towards the car park end of the arcade, and you will see a lift and a set of stairs on your left. Take either and come out on the first floor to Yum Cha world in sunny Preston.
