Hepburn Springs |
Hepburn Springs just one hours drive from Melbourne is in the middle of Australia's largest concentration of mineral springs, which are full of health-giving minerals.
Hepburn Springs Mineral Reserve
30 hectares of mineral waters springs that have been used for bathing and drinking since the mid-1800's. In fact the many Swiss-Italians and other immigrants originally settled in the region to "take the waters".
Taking the waters
Your mind and body will also experience the benefits of these health-giving minerals at a local spa and wellness centre. Soak up local history - literally - and indulge in hydrotherapy, massage and beauty therapy at the lavishly refurbished Hepburn Bathhouse and Spa, established in 1895.
Follow your feet
Pick up a map from the Daylesford Visitor Information Centre and take the Historic Village Walk. Visit the Old Macaroni Factory (1859), Villa Parma (1864) and restored Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco guesthouses, shops, hotels, and miners' cottages. Play a round of golf on Hepburn Springs' 18-hole golf course or visit Cricket Willow, home of the cricket bat and cricket and sporting memorabilia.
