In 2012, the United Nations (UN) declared March 20 to be observed as the International Day of Happiness.
The day recognizes that happiness is a fundamental human goal, and calls upon countries to approach public policies in ways that improve the well being of all peoples.

New research released to coincide with the International Day of Happiness (March 20th) reveals that when we feel good about ourselves physically, it can lead to us taking greater care of other areas in our life, shifting momentum to a happier you.
and if that don't quite float your boat.. the Secret Society of Happy People celebrates 'Admit You're Happy Day' on Happiness Happens Day on August 8.
