Jacqui Felgate

Jacqui Felgate

Jacqueline Felgate is a newsreader, reporter, MC and mother on SEVEN in Melbourne.

She's loved for her zesty happy personality but even more for being down to earth admitting she came last in a marathon of 4,000 competitors.

Look out SEVEN, Jacqui is a star!

Jacqueline Freegard (maiden name) attended Trinity Grammar School and completed her Bachelor of Arts at University of Melbourne. In 2005 she began a cadetship working for the Herald Sun as a journalist. She began freelancing reporting for Nine News Melbourne in 2007. She joined Seven News Melbourne in 2012, where she worked as a senior reporter and fill in presenter. Jacqueline presented her first live bulletin for Seven News Melbourne on Christmas Day 2014. She was promoted to the stations local afternoon presenter in August 2015. Since then she has filled in as presenting Seven's National Morning News and Melbourne Weekend News bulletin.

She is the first female to host the Brownlow Medal count. Alongside Hamish McLachlan, she co-hosted the 2020 count won by Lachie Neale.

Jacqueline has been awarded a Melbourne Press Club Quill Award and has twice been highly commended in the RACV Transport category.

She is a Geelong Cats fan (we won't hold that against her).
