The iconic global phenomenon JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR opens at the Princess Theatre from March 2025 with a mesmerising new production that has garnered unprecedented reviews and accolades as it has toured the US and UK including winning an Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival.
This unmissable musical will star one of Australia's most well-respected musicians and internationally acclaimed recording artist Michael Paynter as Jesus the dynamic and exciting musical theatre star Javon King as Judas and soul and blues powerhouse the superlative Mahalia Barnes as Mary.
Featuring lyrics and music by Emmy GRAMMY Oscar and Tony winners Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR is set against the backdrop of an extraordinary series of events during the final weeks in the life of Jesus Christ as seen through the eyes of Judas. The legendary score includes 'I Don't Know How to Love Him' 'Gethsemane' and 'Superstar'.
