marvellousmelbourne.org has been created by a group of volunteers to celebrate the best of Melbourne and to encourage people to be informed and get involved.

There are many possibilities for Melbourne's future. There are many people concerned that government is using challenges from climate change to mask it's addiction to growth.

There are many groups in the city, country and coast whose needs are being ignored and who are trying to alert the community to the dangers of a planning dictatorship elected only every few years that stays on top by playing one community against another.

These groups have come together as www.planningbacklash.org.au

marvellousmelbourne.org is only one of the many suppoters this "umbrella"organisation, but has offered to "host"it's web page.

marvellousmelbourne.org receives no funds from government or political parties and has created and maintained this site on a budget of less than $300. There have been no supporter funds wasted on tarting up the message ! (as we see with so many of our tax dollars !).

It operates only through the generosity of its supporters and members - potentially YOU !
