Successfully conducted for more than 18 years, Melbourne City Sports (MCS) entertains Victorians by encouraging community participation in a variety of sporting activities.

Professionally developed and organised these activity programs are managed by the Victorian YMCA in partnership with the City of Melbourne.

Aimed to encourage community participation in physical activity, regular events including the Corporate Challenge, Corporate Cup, Super Sunset Series, Corporate Sports Days and Special Events, provide a respite from hectic work schedules and fast-tracked lifestyles while offering a chance to savour the outdoors and enjoy individual or group activities.

Greater productivity, better concentration and stress minimisation are some of the benefits of exercise, with team-based activities helping to create a more cohesive, co-operative workplace.

CORPORATE CUP

Fortnightly, team-based running/walking program

The Corporate Cup is a team-based running/walking program conducted at the Tan Track in the King's Domain Gardens and around the Royal Botanic Gardens. This program is aimed at city workers who are motivated to be healthy, with a focus on improving performance and encouraging the pursuit of personal bests and the spirit of team work.

Conducted twice a year (Autumn and Spring seasons) during lunch -time and runs fortnightly over a 14 week period. Consisting of Men's, Women's, Mixed and Walkers categories, part of the program's appeal is the ability to participate even if you are unable to make it on the day.

CORPORATE CHALLENGE

Lunchtime sports include: Lawn Bowls, Netball, Volleyball, Basketball.

Corporate Challenge encourages office workers to pariticpate in enjoyable lunch-time sports. Activities are conducted in a variety of venues. Outdoors at Flagstaff Gardens you will find Netball, Volleyball and Lawn Bowls. The Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre houses indoor Basketball.

This is a worthwhile opportunity for employers to invest in the health of their employees, and improve business productivity as a result.

The Corporate Challenge has something for everyone of any age, speed or fitness level.

CORPORATE SPORTS DAYS

Professionally organised and managed sport days for your company.

Melbourne City Sports also offer companies the opportunity to have a professionally organised and managed sports day. Utilising a variety of indoor and outdoor sporting venues, Corporate Spors Days offers employers a stress free, completely organised and memorable Christmas party, team building session, annual function or just to say 'Thanks!' to employees. Encouraging competitive drive and team-building, remarkably fun day is tailored to your companies individual needs.

A motivational lecture, BBQ lunch with refreshments, medals, prizes and Perpetual Cup can also be arranged upon request.

SUPER SUNSET SERIES

Twillight Summer Fun Runs conducted in February and March each year.

Twilight Summer Fun Runs... A breeze in the park, a stroll through the Zoo or a sprint around the Tan: our Super Sunset Series cateres for people of all ages, ability and fitness levels.

Conducted in February and March each year, this fabulous event offers juniors, family or teams the chance to get together and enjoy the twilight. Try the 4km walk, the 4km run or test yourself with the 8km run at locations like the Tan Track, Melbourne Zoo, Princess Park and Royal Parade.

This is an atmospheric event brought together by mass participation providing great energy, stimulating environments and a fun and friendly vibe!

Every entrant receives a Melbourne City Sports complimentary pack containing a T-Shirt and other goodies and is invited to a twilight BBQ with refreshments after the event.
