EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST NOW OPEN
Our Independent Programme explores the role of fashion in today's culture through the lens of local innovators, creatives, institutions and community organisations across Victoria.
Curated by the PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival team, this programme of independently produced events is a brilliant and varied selection of grassroots experiences including workshops, open studios, exhibitions, performances, independent runways, screenings, talks and more.
In 2024, our Independent Programme featured over 80 unique events across Melbourne and regional Victoria, including a range of free events and many more under $100, making it easier than ever before for fashion lovers to access an array of fashion experiences.
The 2025 PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival will take place from 22 Feb - 08 Mar 2025. The majority of the Independent Programme will run in the first week of the Festival from 22 Feb - 02 Mar, providing clear air to ensure consumers have more opportunities to engage with the depth and diversity of Victoria's local independent and emerging fashion practitioners beyond the runway.
