Your guide to Melbourne events, exhibitions and sport February 26 - March 4, 2007.

This is a great time to be in marvellous Melbourne with so much going on in the next few weeks. The Melbourne International Motor Show is one of the world's longest running motor shows and Melbourne's largest indoor exhibition opens this Friday. The star attraction this year is the Caparo T1 which can accelerate to 160 km/h in less than 5 seconds and it promises a top speed beyond 300 km/h. Most of the major car manufacturers will be displaying their latest and upcoming models.

The L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival starts on Sunday, with all the glamour and glitz you would expect from the fashion industry. It's not just about catwalk shows and models, there are many exhibitions at the Museum, RMIT and various other venues which are sure to inspire you. I am always amazed at how the fashion industry comes up with new ideas and keeps improving on the past. Clothes are becoming cheaper and more stylish every year.

Clean Up Australia DayThe annual Clean Up Australia Day is on this Sunday, it's a great way to get some exercise, meet people and do something really positive for your community. Make sure you register as soon as you can, so they can organise you for your area. Some areas that need help are Royal Children and Zoo parks, Yarra River and Queen Street and Flinders Street, Melbourne. We Can Walk It Out is also on Sunday. It's a fundraiser for the Women's Cancer Foundation.

The Yamaha World Superbike Championships start on Friday. It will not only be the battle of the 'Two Troys' but a great day of exhilirating fun for the whole family. Many people will be going to see Damien Leith the Australian Idol winner and Leo Sayer at Crown Casino. The NAB Cup Kangaroos Vs. Fremantle FC will be at Telstra Dome this Sunday at 3.40 pm.
