Melbourne has gone festival crazy this week; The International Airshow, Swimming Championships, Kids Artfarty Festival, Brunswick Music Festival, Melbourne Food and Wine, East Melbourne Festa, Warrandyte Festival, Williamstown Festival and the Darebin Festival, not forgetting the next two weeks are the busiest FETE weekends every year.

<Australian International Airshow2007 marks the 60th anniversary for the Australian International Airshow, which starts on Monday and continues until Sunday.

The Airshow static and tarmac displays will feature almost a thousand aircraft of just about every style and size. From the latest combat jets to experimental and historic aircraft this is your chance to get up close and personal with the aircraft and those who fly, own and restore them.

The Airshow also features a number of military and historic displays as well as a host of military vehicles, cannon and ground warfare technology.

2007 World Swimming ChampionshipsCan you believe that a circus, live music, cabaret, street performers, music theatre, music performers, children's activities and art installations are all part of the Swimming Festival.

The 2007 World Swimming Championships will feature Synchronised Swimming, Diving and Water Polo this week. The Swimming Festival continues until April 1st.

The 2007 Brunswick Musical Festival continues until April 1st. Once again the standard Brunswick mix of styles and genres seems to be well satisfied with an amazing eclectic selection of artists from all over the world. One of the major highlights of the overall program is the appearance of Banditaliana lead by Ricardo Tessi, who will open the program at the Brunswick Town Hall on Thursday 15 March. This is a special band, a super group of musicians anchoring a claim for Italy into the higher ranks of the world music regime in Europe.

The Festival's charter is to promote the quality produce, talent and lifestyle of Melbourne and the State of Victoria and to reinforce Melbourne as the pre-eminent culinary city of Australia. There are many much loved events such as the World's Longest Lunch, Spice Bazaar and Hawkers Market. The Flour Festival will be on next Saturday and Sunday.
