The unique Melbourne Food and Wine Festival continues until March 30th operating on a not for profit basis. The Festival's charter is to promote the quality produce, talent and lifestyle of Melbourne and the State of Victoria and to reinforce Melbourne as the pre-eminent culinary city of Australia. There are many much loved events such as the World's Longest Lunch, Spice Bazaar and Hawkers Market.
This Sunday you might see many people running through the city for the Run For The Kids - Royal Childrens Hospital Appeal. While the 2006 course received overwhelming positive feedback, the new 15.2km course is even better! It incorporates all of the unique features that have proven it to be a landmark event, giving participants access to normally off-limits roads, and now includes a start/finish area in the same location, eliminating many transportation issues and making it easier for family and friends who are not competing to be part of the fun and closer to the action.

Proof - a Contemporary Australian Printmaking exhibition, will be on at the NGV until April 1st. The printed image, with its unique capacity to be reproduced in multiple versions, offers fertile ground for contemporary artists. So too does the variety of means by which such images can be created, from traditional techniques including woodcut and etching, to the newest developments in digital printing technology.
The Ghost Writer - Developed under MTC's Hard Lines Program, Ross Mueller's The Ghost Writer is a story about stories, the lies we tell ourselves and the truths we daren't tell anyone. It's on at the Arts Centre until April 21st. Everyone has a story to tell, provided they have the right words to tell it. Brihanna (Margaret Harvey) can talk a blue streak, but writing has never been her thing. Best to leave that to Claudia (Belinda McClory), who has the class and literary skills to give a chaotic, violent story the texture of true tragedy. But what if the ghost writer has her own ghosts to exorcise, or only wants to stir up old ghosts?

Set in 1975 during the final days leading up to the American evacuation of Saigon, Miss Saigon is an epic love story about the relationship between an American GI and a young Vietnamese woman.
