Major Events Guide

Melbourne JazzMelbourne Jazz Melbourne's Jazz Festival continues till 13 May 2007, ending its 11 day music festival with Crown Melbourne Jazz, celebrating the spirit of Jazz in all its forms.

From Crown to Hamer Hall and Federation Square, Melbourne's river precinct will become the beating jazz heart of the city, with a truly spectacular paying and free program presenting the finest International and Australian Jazz in the world.

Silvers Grand Magic Circus As seen on Channel 9 in Celebrity Circus, Silvers Grand Magic Circus is a Melbourne tradition, it's located in Epping this week at 551 High Street.

Established in 1976, Silvers Circus has grown from strength to strength. In 1987 a new concept was developed and Silvers Grand Magic Circus was born. A procenium arch stage larger than many theatres was placed behind the sawdust ring and the inside of the bigtop was transformed into something the world had never seen before.

Varekai - Cirque du Soleil Varekai - Cirque du Soleil Deep within a forest, at the summit of a volcano, exists an extraordinary world-a world where something else is possible. A world called Varekai.

The word varekai means "wherever"in the Romany language of the gypsies the universal wanderers. This production pays tribute to the nomadic soul, to the spirit and art of the circus tradition, and to the infinite passion of those whose quest takes them along the path that leads to Varekai.

April 23 through to May 20, 2007

The Giant Sky Wheel will be open at Federation Square. The panoramic views of the city are breathtaking and with the lights illuminating the skyline at night there is no better way to spend your day or evening than on top of the Giant Sky Wheel.

Situated along the edge of the Yarra River come along and check out the fantastic views of Melbourne Skyline or stroll down during the evening to see the spectacular light show.

Green Collect - Public Program to recycle office stationery
When it comes to recycling office stationery, we often think of paper and printer cartridges but not of folders, binders, in-trays and magazine racks. But these items often end up in landfill as well.

Green Collect is a not-for-profit organisation that collects office waste for recycling or redistribution to community and charity groups. Through this initiative, more than 40 community and charity organisations receive donations of office equipment.

Melbourne Shuffle

Melbourne ShuffleThere are three overlapping pictures of Melbourne's Landmarks here, but parts of each picture have been removed.

Match the pieces and see if you can guess what they are.

One of them is an interior pic, so don't 'punish' yourself if it's too tricky!

(For those who haven't had their coffee yet, that was a clue by the way)
