The party kicks off at 10am with guest appearances, competitions, live music, entertainment and the ABC Exhibition Trailer will also be in action, featuring a TV and Radio studio for kids to make their own free disc!
Melbourne International Film Festival celebrates its 56th year, presenting a diverse range of contemporary cinema that includes features, documentaries and short films.
Running till August 12 and with over 300 films due to be screened, approximately 80 percent of the programmed films will be Australian premieres.
The Portable Film Festival, featuring the best in short film and internet video culture, launches on August 1st this week.
