It's recently been discovered by OnlyMelbourne that our fair city could well have another contender for one of the shortest highways in the world..
For many years Chandler Highway was considered the worlds shortest highway, but we noticed on Google maps that a small part of City Road in Southbank is actually named Yarra Bank Highway.
The map suggests that the Chandler Highway at 1.5 km is longer but the Yarra Bank Highway is in fact 2 km long making it a small .5 km longer than the world's shortest 'highway' Chandler Highway.
Speaking of what's on, our new calendar allows you to select any day of the year to view everything (everything!!!) on that day in an easy to read, printable display.
