We receive some wonderful emails and phone calls at OnlyMelbourne.
Some tell us what a good web site it is while others complain how useless it is! Maybe it is a case of 'can't please all the people' but maybe an explanation might help.
In short, Only Melbourne is a web directory. It means we try and pre-empt the information our readers will search for and research the topic and list the answers in a directory style format.
The information is available free of charge to whoever wishes to find it.
Things we have no control over:
1. Web sites we link to. As quick as web sites are added to the internet, sadly they also drop off at the other end. Sometimes web sites are temporarily down, or their owners have decided not to continue except, they forget to tell anyone that has linked to them (like us). Please, if you find a dead link then let us know.
2. Telephone numbers. One irate complaint wanted to know why we didn't check the telephone numbers of listings. Well, we discussed calling every telephone number in our directory (47,526) on a weekly basis but for some odd reason, no-one was in favour of it.
3. Google rankings and descriptions. No, we are unable to dictate to Google what appears in their search results.
