Victorian Open Gardens Scheme Inc is a new not-for-profit organization formed to continue the long tradition of opening private gardens throughout Victoria.

Victoria has a proud horticultural history - Australia's first open garden program was launched here in 1987 and over the years the much-loved scheme has proven irresistible to garden lovers.

Open Gardens Victoria will continue to provide the opportunity to visit wonderful gardens in this State, building on the legacy handed down by Open Gardens Australia following its closure at the end of June 2015.

The Annual Program

Each season OGV will offer a program of inspirational gardens encompassing the entire range from designer to owner-grown and maintained, huge to tiny, rural to metropolitan and everything in between!

The program will feature a mix of gardens that have delighted visitors in the past along with a selection of wonderful new ones.

Garden Owners

Many garden owners have expressed an interest in opening their gardens for the new organisation. OGV aims to provide more support to owners and to return more funds to garden owners and/or their chosen charities.
