Join writer and editor Brodie Lancaster for a thought-provoking evening delving into feminist manifestos and speeches that have changed the world.

Hear from a stellar line-up of guests including actor Jessica Bentley (Julia) Professor Jacqueline Broad and curator Angela Bailey. Together we'll explore 330 years of manifestos including A Serious Proposal to the Ladies by 17th-century rebel Mary Astell RedPlanet political posters from the '90s and Julia Gillard's 2012 misogyny speech.

The evening also features a premiere performance by Butoh dancer Yumi Umiumare inspired by Hiratsuka Raichō's 1911 Japanese feminist manifesto 'In the Beginning Woman Was the Sun' an exclusive video from the Guerrilla Girls and the opportunity to view rare items acquired by the Women Writers Fund and from related Library collections.
