New Additions
A new treasure trove of Banksy's artworks, creating an unprecedented exhibition experience for new and returning audiences.
The new collection includes exclusive pieces such as the only self portrait of Banksy to exist in any private or public collection, as well as a filing cabinet owned by the notorious artist himself to store his artwork through the years.
Zapatista Freedom Footballer aka 'A La Libertad por el Futbol' - In 2001, Bristolian team Easton Cowboys and Cowgirls travelled to Chiapas (Mexico), with Banksy playing as their goalkeeper. The infamous artist used this opportunity to paint murals on farmland buildings. This piece may well have been a precursor for the final artwork produced in Mexico.
Self Portrait - This is the only Banksy self-portrait that exists in any private or public collection, which reveals an 'unmasked' insight into Banksy's identity.
Untitled Filing Cabinet - The unit was used by both Banksy and Fiona Jones who shared it for storing their work in, while blasting music from a stereo that sat atop of it.
Untitled Prototype Lenticular Print - This unique prototype print incorporates all the typical iconography from the artist at the time including rats, a monkey and his own tag.
Rodeo Girl - The female image was inspired by World War II fighter pilots, who adorned their fighter planes, missiles and bombs with 'pin-up girls'. There is an estimated number of between twenty to forty of these prints in existence, making it one of Banksy's rarest and most desirable prints among collectors.
GDP Rat - After a legal dispute in 2019, Banksy was forced to create, 'the least poetic reason to ever hold an art show'. The artist launched his new venture, 'Gross Domestic Product' (GDP). While crowds still gathered outside the store on its final day, the GDP Rat print was among one of three prints handed out by Banksy staff members.
