Tram Sessions |
Tram Sessions is a not-for-profit project that puts bands on trams in Melbourne. When they play, to the surprise and delight of commuters, we film it and upload it to tramsessions.com.
On Melbourne trams, commuters are being treated to a live show, the performances are live, spontaneous and free to tram ticket holders.
Tram Sessions is the brainchild of Swedish expatriates Nicklas Wallberg and Carl Malmsten. The duo, both big fans of music and Melbourne trams, started the project because they really wanted to work on something that would bring their two passions together.
About Tram Sessions
With more and more live music venues closing down across Melbourne, we thought we could take the whole venue problem out of the equation!Tram Sessions is a not-for-profit project with the sole purpose of putting bands on Melbourne trams for your commuting pleasure. If you're lucky enough, a zone-1 ticket could get you front row seats to the likes of Amanda Palmer (Dresden Dolls), Lisa Mitchell, Jordie Lane, Passenger or Lanie Lane.
All sessions are filmed and uploaded to tramsessions.com for everyone to enjoy. If you want to know more, check out our Statement of Purposes. If you enjoy our sessions, please have a look at what inspired us to do what we do.
