Victorian Electoral Commission

Victorian Electoral Commission

The Victorian Electoral Commission is an independent statutory authority established under Victoria's Electoral Act 2002.

We conduct Victorian State elections, local council elections, certain statutory elections and commercial and community elections. We also conduct boundary reviews, maintain the Victorian electoral enrolment register, conduct electoral research, provide education services and work to engage all Victorians who are entitled to vote in the democratic process.

The VEC's operations are governed by four main pieces of legislation:
Electoral Act, Constitution Act, Electoral Boundaries Commission Act and
Local Government Act.

Download an enrolment form now so that you are correctly enrolled for the Federal election, to be held some time later this year.
