2015 Australia Day Guide
On the 26th of January each year we celebrate our National Day, Australia Day in Melbourne and Victoria as the Victorian Government brings you a festive atmosphere with an array of fun activities and free events.The 26th of January refers to the First Landing Day or Foundation Day, in 1788 when Captain Arthur Phillip, the first governor of New South Wales, arrived at Sydney Cove.
The ongoing success of Australia Day is due to the wonderful planning and organisation by the Australia Day Committee

The Royal Croquet Club is a new festival set to inject vibrancy, atmosphere and excitement into Melbourne's outdoor social scene this summer. Melburnian's will get the opportunity to wine, dine and be entertained by Australia's finest when the Royal Croquet Club rolls into town from 16 January to 1 February 2015. Melbourne's iconic entertainment precinct, Birrarung Marr will host the 17-day festival.
