Darebin Art Show
The City of Darebin presents a biennial exhibition of contemporary visual arts and craft celebrating the creativity and talent of artists living, working or learning in the Darebin municipality. Presented at the historic Bundoora Homestead Art Centre, this year's Darebin Art Show features a record number of 134 entries. Come along to see each artist reveal a unique perspective or story through their artwork.
** We mucked up last week telling everyone that it was free entry at the Family Fun Day at Coopers Settlement on Australia Day. Coopers Settlement in Bundoora Park offers a variety of activities that the whole family will enjoy together.

Streets of Melbourne
Streets of Melbourne provides a unique opportunity for Melburnians to explore the stories behind their city.
Visitors will be able to put a 'face to the name' as they traverse the grid, learning more of our explorers, colonial origins, founding fathers and events in our city's past.
Last year called Antipodes Festival, Lonsdale Street Festival is Melbourne's largest Greek themed street party, when Lonsdale Street is closed and over 100,000 people head to enjoy two stages of free entertainment, an assortment of food stalls, children's activities, cooking demonstrations and trader displays.
The Whittlesea Country Music Festival is delighted to announce Glenn Shorrock as their headline act for 2014. Confirmed performers includes Jetty Road, Christie Lamb, Greg Champion and Damian Howard and The Ploughboys. The festival will kick-off on Friday 7 February with the free opening party at the Whittlesea Bowls Club, where duo Carter and Carter will headline.
Blak Cabaret will take you on a heart-warming journey into our nation's soul with its unique brand of blak brilliance. Featuring the deadliest mob of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander performers, Blak Cabaret is a delicious cocktail of comedy, music, poetry and dance.

Designed for the novice paddler, hobbyist or families, the short course is a leisurely 3.6km paddle from the Sorrento pier to Portsea with the finishing line located on the Portsea beach, just down from the iconic Portsea Hotel.
