This week Melbourne gets to stay up late with White Night Melbourne presenting a 12-hour stretch of art, theatre, music and many other creative pursuits.
For music aficionados the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra will be presenting two free concerts at Sidney Myer Music Bowl, while film buffs can treat themselves to the exotic as the Brazil Film Festival hits town.
The community spirit is alive and well with a celebration of culture at Geelong's Pako Festa along with Clayton Street Festival and Moonee Valley.

White Night Melbourne will bring the city to life when Melbourne's artistic spirit gets to stay up late from dusk to dawn in a one night celebration of music, theatre, dance, design, food, film, fashion and more with a program of more than 80 presentations held at some of Melbourne's most iconic venues and public spaces. D'ya Long for a Day Out?
Pako Festa, held in Geelong, is the Australia's largest free celebration of cultural diversity with something for people from all walks of life. Bringing together the art, music and food of many backgrounds, the festival features workshops, music and dance performances, films, craft displays and children's activities. Clayton Street Festival, now in its 10th year, has a wide range of attractions for people of all ages with live cultural performances held across three stages along with roving performers, interactive activities and community information stalls, there's also the Enviro Zone and Youth Zone with fun workshops and more. Moonee Valley Festival offers great entertainment for the whole family with the popular festival's 36th year featuring market stalls, roving performers, entertainment stages with live music, delectable food stalls and special attractions for kids with amusement rides, sports and art workshops and much more. Comfortable Shorts, held each month at Melbourne's Loop Bar, presents an evening of laidback fun with screenings of the latest shorts from both local and international talents along with the perfect chance to meet passionate, fellow cinephiles, enjoy Q&A sessions with filmmakers and do a bit of friendly networking. Brazil Film Festival brings to Melbourne the images, sounds and effervescence of the best of the most recent Brazilian films. A Finn Predicament, Stanley
Between the Bays prides itself as being the Mornington Peninsula's best, family friendly music festival with fantastic food, children's activities and a great line-up of performers this year with Hoodoo Gurus, Tim Finn, Troy Cassar-Daley, James Reyne and one of Australia's best Latin American bands, Combo La Revelacion.
