This week the chuckles abound as Melbourne International Comedy Festival takes to the stage with an enormous program of events, while in Bendigo there's a grand soiree for wine connoisseurs.
There's also a basketful of events for the kids as the Easter weekend bunny-hops its way into the School Holidays.
And footy fans can rejoice with a good number of games across the long weekend to kick off the AFL Championships.

Australian Body Art Awards, held at Carlton's Arrow On Swanston, brings together Australia's finest Face Painters and Body Artist to compete for the National Face & Body Painting Titles with living, moving models performing on stage to the theme of "Supernatural"in a showcase that celebrates one of the most creative industries.

Melbourne International Comedy Festival returns to present some of the best and newest entertainers drawn from Australia and overseas. With shows for people of all ages held at various venues in Melbourne, the festival offers comedy, circus, burlesque theatre and much more along with many free public events.

Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal raises money each year to help ensure that children with life-threatening diseases can have access to the best possible medical care. Along with Channel 7's Live Telethon, there are many ways to donate to the appeal with special events held throughout Victoria.

The Rabbit or the Egg?
Bendigo Easter Festival, now in its 143rd year, celebrates not only the season of Easter, but also the rich and colourful Chinese heritage of Bendigo. Festival highlights include a massive Easter Egg Hunt, stage shows, a Gala Parade and the annual appearance of Sun Loong, the world's longest Imperial dragon.
When: March 29 to April 1

Golden Horseshoes Festival, one of Victoria's most popular Easter events held in Beechworth, offers fun for all ages with a Grand Parade and live music with performances and busking on the streets. The festival also includes market stalls, music performances, carnival rides and entertainment for children.
When: Friday to Sunday, March 29 to 31
Easter Fun Day at Elsternwick's Rippon Lea House in invites children to join in the fun of their famous Easter egg hunt where they can scour the 14 acre property for hidden tokens to claim chocolate prizes. There'll also be an appearance by the Easter Bunny along with the visiting Petting Farm with its baby bunnies and chickens.

Give Me an Om Among the Gumtrees
Festival of Meditation, presented by Sri Chinmoy Centre, is a free program of meditation and yoga classes, workshops and talks offering insights into themes of 'living in the heart'. With activities held at all activities at Richmond's Gallery 314, the festival also features an exhibition of drawings by spiritual Master Sri Chinmoy.
When: Until April 4
Eucalypt Festival, held Cranbourne's Royal Botanic Garden celebrates Australia's iconic plant with a program of events held across the Easter weekend. With themes held each day, the festival features live music, animal displays, performers, face painting, fun walks, workshops, garden tours and children's activities.
When: Sunday to Monday, March 31 to April 1
From Paddock to Photographic Plate
Long Gone Days on the Farm, held at Eltham's Montsalvat, is an exhibition by Karl Sietins. Initially a landscape painter, Karl's interests have evolved, leading him to pursue his passion as a landscape photographer with works that capture the remnants of a lifestyle pioneering families experienced in the early 1900's.
When: March 27 to May 12
Developments, one of several exhibitions held at Seventh Gallery in Fitzroy, brings together the works of four artists who present views of their changing urban environments. With artists from Melbourne, Australia and Phnom Penh, Cambodia, the exhibition features sculpture, drawing, video, photography and installation.

The Chairman of the Bored
Iggy & The Stooges, one of the iconic bands that sparked America's punk movement, will be performing at Melbourne's Festival Hall, bringing together legendary frontman Iggy Pop with lead guitarist James Williamson, drummer Toby Dammit, bassist Mike Watt and sax player Steve Mackay to show how it's still done.

Rotten Eggs Easter Saturday Feast at the Brunswick Hotel brings an outstanding lineup of seven Punk and Rock and Roll bands as well as a touch of comedy thrown into the basket. Along with an egg hunt for raging chocoholics, Horse Exploder will also be launching their new highly anticipated Easter Themed Album.

How Doth Thee Liketh Thine Apples?
Antique Apple Tastings, presented by the Heritage Fruit Society, is a chance to sample the flavours of the Heritage Apple Collection when in season. The events are held at Pettys Orchard located in Templestowe, which grows, displays and distributes more than 200 different varieties of old and rare apples.

Bendigo Winemakers Festival, taking place at Castlemaine Civic Gardens, showcases the best wines from Bendigo's gold-bearing soils with a festive celebration that includes live music performances, a wide variety of food stalls, dancing and kid's performer Tim Tim leading the popular Easter Egg Hunt on the day.
