The Mornington Peninsula Great Ocean Road and Yarra Valley Chocolateries are back for their annual (month-long) festival dedicated to hot chocolate.

31 limited-edition hot chocolate flavours will be available to try featuring sweet and indulgent treats like torched creme brulee boozy truffles melting chocolate emoji discs and so much more!

Chocolate lovers, clear your calendars - the Hot Chocolate Festival is back, and it's turning winter into one giant, gooey, chocolate-fueled adventure! Across the Mornington Peninsula, Great Ocean Road and Yarra Valley Chocolateries, August is all about steaming mugs, wild flavours, and sugar-fuelled happiness.

This year, 31 limited-edition hot chocolates are hitting the menu, and they're anything but ordinary. We're talking boozy truffle-topped cups, choc-lined ice cream cones, and creations that look like they belong in Willy Wonka's diary. Early teasers include:

Sweet Berry Tacos - a berry-infused hot choc with a sponge taco stuffed with white chocolate ganache and fresh fruit (yes, dunking is encouraged).

Dubai Sphere - a pistachio marshmallow sphere filled with silky Dubai chocolate creme that melts into your mug like pure magic.

Each drink is barista-made with your choice of dark, milk, white, ruby, or caramelised couverture chocolate, crowned with a giant fluffy marshmallow and extra artisan goodies. Basically, chocolate heaven in a glass.

And if choosing just one is impossible (spoiler: it is), book a tasting session. For $28, you'll sip eight different flavours and get to play chocolatier, creating three of your own signature hot chocolates from 50 different ingredients. Sprinkles, sauces, chunks, swirls - go nuts!

Hot chocolate with marshmallows is nice.. but this festival is next-level fun for your taste buds.
